The Afri-CAN Charity is pleased to announce the arrival of the first Afri-CAN Café in South Africa.
The Afri-CAN Cafés has been placed in Delft, a township 30km from Cape Town. Delft has a population of around 100,000 people with unemployment currently estimated to be in excess of 50%.
The Café is currently being upgraded with external works and will act as a training hub for the Delft area. The Café will serve locally sourced food and a local menu will be created when market research has been completed within the next 2 weeks.
The Afri-CAN Café will provide 10 training positions becoming permanent jobs and a number of indirect jobs providing services to the Café operations.
This is the first Café in a 20 Café, 12 month roll out program and forms part of a 3 year 50 Café roll out program in the Western Cape Province of South Africa.
