The Afri-CAN Café Philippi is proud to welcome our New Manager Lungiswa (Lungi) Matshoba to the Afri-CAN Team. Lungi said “I’m now living my dream.” 
Lungi’s passion is cooking and she is looking forward to leading the team and running The Afri-CAN café in Philippi. Her experience and knowledge in hospitality and cooking, particularly pastries, is proving invaluable to the team.
We are now helping Lungi learn how to maintain the management accounts, keeping a close eye on cost controls and managing the finances. We are also focusing on showing her the ‘back-office’ disciplines essential for running the café successfully.
Lungi said “I’m learning so much, you have opened my mind, I understand so much more. Now I am serious and I feel proud. When the tummy is happy then everybody is happy. I love feeding people especially these young children before they go to school, I feel very proud providing this important meal each day for the little ones.”
