We’re continuously improving our training hub – to increase awareness in what we are doing within Philippi and its community and to increase footfall into The Afri- CAN Café.
We’ve placed the Café within direct access to the bustling Cwangco Crescent with it’s street vendors, shops, banks, community offices – passersby can walk straight into the café for a quick bite and coffee.
You will see we haven’t disturbed the two large trees on this site – where we have tables in the shade – to allow our customers to enjoy eating outside away from the sun.
It looks simple but we went through a lot of planning and revisions to get the double story layout to work and keep access to the street ensuring we didn’t disturb the trees. Well done and thanks again to all the clever minds, brilliant crane drivers and patient customers who helped us get this right!
