26th March 2011, Malawi—The Afri-CAN Cafés are pleased to announce the initiation of the Saturday School Program at the Afri-CAN Cafés in Malawi.
As part of the broader role of The Afri-CAN Cafés to serve the community, effective from 26th March 2011, a Saturday School will be held at the Cafés. Saturday Schools will begin with around 25 attendees in three cafés. Agnes, Mara and Mrs Salem, all trained
lecturers and Afri-CAN Café Staff Members, will lead the lectures initially focusing on healthcare issues. Other lecturers will also be invited to talk about microloans and other community enhancing programs. These lectures will be scheduled for two Saturdays a month.
In addition the Saturday School will also focus on Quality Control lectures on baking, hygiene and customer service for existing and prospective Staff Members to either learn new skills or to hone their existing ones.
